Shatta Wale defends Stonebwoy, warns fans against mockery after grammy snub
Renowned Reggae/Dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah-Mensah Jr., widely known as Shatta Wale, has unexpectedly come to the defense of his colleague and rival, Stonebwoy, who, once again, missed out on a Grammy nomination despite his commendable efforts.
Despite the endeavors of Stonebwoy and several other Ghanaian musicians who submitted their projects for consideration at the 2024 Grammy Awards, none received a nomination.
This outcome prompted social media users, particularly those affiliated with Shatta Wale’s fan base, the ‘Shatta Movement,’ to mock Stonebwoy.
In a video shared on Instagram, Shatta Wale issued a stern warning to his fans, urging them to cease such behavior.
He emphasized that it is not the time to revel in another man’s setback, especially when there is still substantial work to be done within the Ghanaian music industry.
Shatta Wale went on to label anyone engaging in such mockery as foolish and explicitly threatened to block them from his social media accounts.
