VGMA: None of the ‘Best New Artiste’ nominees come close to me
Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) nominee for 2023 Best New Artiste, Chief One has emphatically declared himself the winner irrespective of who’s given the plaque.
In an exclusive interview on Cape Coast-based Property Radio, the ‘Du Agbe’ crooner said he stands tall amongst the nominees like Lasmid, DJ Azonto and Jay Bahd.
He told Amansan Krakye the host “I think when you take notice of the group, I’ve got a lot of hardest songs amongst the nominees I mean hit upon hit not just one or two or three songs.
“Just that where we are from is very hard to be loud you understand but no A-list artiste from that side will come to my yard and control,” he added as MyNewsGh.com observed.
He continued “I rule the Volta region and now a lot of people from Accra, Kumasi, and big love to those in Northern region because they’re loving my vibe.
“So I think hard work is talking that’s what I will say and I’m the winner and I don’t care if they give it to somebody else but my hard work let me know I’m the winner,” he ended on Showbiz On Property.
