Watch how East Legon Executive Fitness Club members ponded Kofi Boakye
It has become a ritual that any member of the group who celebrates his birthday is given a ponding as a way of celebrating the feet he has achieved.
The case of the former Director of Legal and Prosecution of the Ghana Police Service, COP (Retired) Nathan Kofi Boakye was not any different as he was never spared when it got to his turn.
After the lavish display on his birthday which marked his over 30 years in the Ghana Police Service, the trained lawyer and his friends went to their Sports Complex for their usual weekend fitness exercise.
After it, the fearless and courageous retired Police Officer was made to lie on the floor and buckets of water splashed on his body in celebration of his new age as a member of good standing with the East Legon Executive Fitness Club.
COP Nathan Kofi Boakye, who is widely known as Commander One, is recognized for his significant contributions to crime fighting in the country.
He gained national recognition in 2005 when, he led officers from the Accra Region Command in the arrest of notorious armed robber Ataa Ayi and some members of his gang, making him a household name in Ghana.
During his tenure as the police chief in the Ashanti Region, he implemented a dynamic approach to apprehending criminals, which struck fear in the hearts of many robbers.
