Board Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), Rex Omar has revealed that he’s not being paid for the voluntary services he’s been rendering for the organization.

He remarked on Kastle FM “Working for GHAMRO is not something I’m paid for it is voluntary work and I’m using the knowledge I have acquired on my own because nobody has taught me to render such services.

“I feel that I’m just helping for GHAMRO to be an effective organisation to serve the entire country and I’ve been part of this for over 20 something years now,” he said in an interview with Amansan Krakye.

Rex Omar said despite his selfless services to GHAMRO he’s often being insulted but due to the love he’s having for Ghana that’s why he continues to work for the organization.

“People who insult me should know that not everyone of us can dedicate their time for such voluntary work but I love my country that’s why I’m still involved,” he disclosed MyNewsGh.com monitored.

He added “When I stop what I’m doing at GHAMRO today I can find something to do with my life in fact it will not take anything away from me because I have my life to leave with or without GHAMRO.
