Why some producers and beat makers are switching to artistes
Producer, Fox Beat has revealed that most beat makers have switched to doing music and some musicians now produce their own beats.
The ‘Rudiger’ crooner told Amansan Krakye in an interview sighted by MyNewsGh.com that some musicians think they’re doing the music producers a favour.
He said on Property FM in Cape Coast “Being a music producer pays a lot just like the musicians if the proper regulations and measures are put in place like in the USA.
“But in Ghana, things aren’t properly in a place like elsewhere because here even if you are a producer you’re not even recognized.
“When you talk to an artiste about signing splits then it turns into a fight because the artiste knows that he’s doing you the producer a favour.
“So now it has compelled most of the producers to switch to also become artistes instead of doing beats alone and some artistes now also produce their own beats,” he revealed.
