Wizkid sampling of VIP’s ‘Ahomka Womu’ shows we started doing Afrobeats
Beatz Vampire known in real life as Peter Asare Badiako has justified why Ghanaians have been doing Afrobeats for a very long time.
During an interview with Amansan Krakye, the record producer said Wizkid sampling VIP’s song ‘Ahomka Womu’ on ‘Manya’ is clear evidence.
“If you listen to WizKid’s songs like Manya that’s a song that belongs to VIP from Ghana and he sought permission to sample it.
“But we would say that Wizkid did an Afrobeats song that means Ghanaians have also been doing Afrobeats so why are we classifying Afrobeats as a Nigerian sound.
“Because they are the ones doing the right thing but we are not allowing ourselves to explore more,” he revealed on Property FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com
