You deserve a standing ovation babe – Dumelo’s wife praises him after defeat

The wife of Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo, Gifty Mawunya Dumelo has showered praises on her husband despite his defeat in the just-ended 2020 parliamentary elections.
Mr. John Dumelo lost his attempt to represent the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the just ended 2020 elections after he lost to his main contender and incumbent Member of Parliament of the area, Lydia Seyram Alhassan in a close contest.
Speaking for the first time about the outcome of the elections held on December 7, Mrs. Dumelo took to her Instagram page, on Friday, December 11, to praise her husband of 2years over his achievement describing it as a spectacular performance.
She also indicated that her husband deserves a standing ovation for pulling up a stunning performance at the polls.
“Congratulations on such a spectacular performance and making history in Ayawaso west. For a first-time contender in an NPP stronghold and closing the gap by such a margin, woooow !!!!you have really raised the status quo and you know what, you deserve a standing ovation👏🏼👏🏼” part of her message read.
She described him as an inspiration and urged him to rise up high above the defeat like and leader that he had always been.
Together with a picture of the two of them, she wrote
“Praise the Lord!!! In all things Lord, me and my household will forever worship the Lord. Babe @johndumelo1 congratulations on such a spectacular performance and making history in Ayawaso west. For a first-time contender in an NPP stronghold and closing the gap by such a margin, woooow !!!!you have really raised the status quo and you know what, you deserve a standing ovation👏🏼👏🏼.
