Young Okomfo Black’s atheist views spark controversy online, Mzbel reveals school reactions
The 10-year-old son of Ghanaian singer and socialite Mzbel stirred up a digital storm with his unconventional views on the concept of God.
Young Adepa, now going by the name Okomfo Black, boldly asserted his disbelief in the existence of a divine entity and attributed his creation solely to his mother.
This unexpected declaration triggered a wide array of reactions from online users, many of whom criticized Mzbel for permitting her son to express such strong opinions at his tender age without shielding him from potential consequences.
The 10-year-old Okomfo Black’s provocative atheistic stance created a schism among netizens. While some applauded Mzbel for allowing her child the freedom to express his thoughts openly, others rebuked her for granting him that liberty.
In a Facebook, one concerned individual expressed suspicion that parents might advise their children to avoid Adepa’s company.
He stated, “After the remarkable and attention-grabbing #okomfoblack interview, considering his age and extensive knowledge of our ancestors, it’s likely that Ghanaian Christian families will counsel their children not to befriend him.
Nevertheless, the positive aspect is that the ancestral spirits are always by your side, champ.”
In response to this concern, Mzbel acknowledged, “Yes, it’s already happening at his school.”
