2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 28: Eleven Wonders climb out of relegation zone after 2-1 win against Karela
Techiman Eleven Wonders have climbed out of the relegation zone of the Ghana Premier League standings after fighting to beat Karela United 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
The two teams clashed today at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in a game serving as a matchday 28 encounter of the Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
Although both teams excelled in the first half and managed to create some decent goal-scoring chances, neither side could get on the scoresheet.
Later in the 62nd minute after recess, Eleven Wonders took the lead courtesy of a strike from Sumaila Moro.
Ten minutes later, the improved efforts of Karela United paid off when the pressure from the team forced Joseph Baah to score an own goal to restore parity.
In the last 10 minutes of the game, Eleven Wonders did enough to seal the win with Laar Ibrahim coming to the rescue of the team with the winning goal in the 81st minute of the contest.
With today’s win over Karela United, Eleven Wonders have climbed out of the relegation zone of the Ghana Premier League table.
