2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 28: Hearts of Oak fight to draw 1-1 with Bechem United
Hearts of Oak on Saturday afternoon fought to come from behind to draw 1-1 against Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians after coming alive in April managed to break into the top four of the league standings.
With the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League campaign heading towards its conclusion, Hearts of Oak today travelled to Bechem hoping to pick three big points to climb higher on the standings of the division.
Facing off with a top opponent, Bechem United proved to be a tough nut to crack as the Phobians struggled in the first 30 minutes of the contest.
In the 28th minute, Emmanuel Owusu broke the deadlock of the game to give the home team the lead.
Pegged behind, the Hearts of Oak players displayed impressive resilience and soldiered on in a bid to equalize.
The efforts of the visitors paid off in added minutes of the first half with teenager Suraj Seidu finding the back to the net to restore parity for his team.
With no goals in the second half, Hearts of Oak have shared the spoils with Bechem United at the end of a 1-1 draw against Bechem United on the road.
