2021/22 GHPL: Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh names 21-man squad to face RTU
Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh has named a 21-man squad for their match week 25 encounter against Real Tamale United (RTU) in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors will be looking to strengthen their lead at the top of the standings with a win at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
RTU held Kotoko to a 1-1 stalemate in the first round at the Baba Yara Stadium and will look to replicate the same performance today.
Kotoko captain Abdul Ganiyu Ismail has been ruled out of the game after failing to pass a late fitness test as Christopher Nettey misses the crucial game due to the number of accumulated yellow cards.
Clinton Opoku and Dickson Afoakwa were part of the travelling squad of Asante Kotoko after being declared fit by the club’s medical team earlier last week.
Asante currently sit at the summit of the league table with 52 points, eight points adrift second-placed Bechem United with 10 matches left to play.
Below is Asante Kotoko 21-man squad for the game against RTU:
Goalkeepers: Danlad Ibrahim, Kwame Baah
Defenders: Andrews Appau, Mubarik Yusif, Samuel Appiah, Augustine Agyapong, Maxwell Agyemang, Imoro Ibrahim, Patrick Asmah, Charles Owusu.
Midfielders: Emmanuel Keyekeh, Sheriff Mohammed, Fabio Gama Dos Santos, Richard Boadu, Mudasiru Salifu.
Forwards: Georges Mfegue, Franck Etouga, Dickson Afoakwa, Stephen Amankona, Clinton Opoku, Samuel Boateng.
