2022 Women’s Africa qualifiers: Nigeria Super Falcons release squad for Ghana showdown

Nigeria have released their squad battle Ghana in the penultimate qualifying stage to the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).

The squad is led by FC Barcelona forward Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade of Atletico Madrid, Desire Oparanozie, Gift Monday.

The Super Falcon will open camp in Lagos on Sunday, October 17.

The squad consists of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders, and six forwards.

The Super Falcons will host the first leg at Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, before the reverse leg on Sunday the 24th – at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The aggregate winner advances to face that of the clash between Niger and Cote d’Ivoire in the final round of the qualifying series.

Eleven aggregate winners qualify from this stage to join hosts Morocco in the final tournament which will, for the first time ever, be competed by 12 teams.
