2022 World Cup: Heung-min Son to clash with role model Ronaldo in Group H
Heung-min Son, who plays for Tottenham, will face his long-time idol Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Manchester United, on the World Cup stage in Group H.
Portugal, Uruguay, and Ghana were assigned to Group H in the 2022 Qatar World Cup group draw, which took place on the 2nd at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
Among them is the final group encounter (3rd game) versus Portugal, which will be contested on December 3rd at the Education City Stadium. If they are unable to guarantee their spot in the round of 16 in the encounter between Uruguay (November 24) and Ghana (November 28), which will be played at the same site earlier, Korea would be forced to play Portugal for 90 minutes and get a good result.
This is a clash that everyone is looking forward to. The world’s attention is likely to be focused on the match between Son Heung-min and Ronaldo, the captains of the two countries. Even among Korea’s finest players, Ronaldo is a hero.
