2022 World Cup: Stars in Group H start scoring goals

Lots of stars in the 2022 World Cup Group H have hit scoring form during the week and also during the weekend.

First, Joao Felix and Diogo Jota, both Portuguese attackers, scored the first goals in a league encounter. Felix scored the opening goal in the 30th round of La Liga with a header in the 11th minute against Alaves on the 3rd.

Matteus Cunha’s effort was stopped by the goalkeeper’s save in the 37th minute of the second half. Jota also scored with a header from Joe Gomes in the 22nd minute of the first half against Watford in the 30th round of the English Premier League (EPL) for the 2021-2022 season. Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal’s best player, did not play against Leicester City.

Luis Suarez, a Uruguayan striker, also scored several goals. Suarez, who came on as a substitute in the 16th minute of the second half against Alaves, took the penalty kick in the 30th minute and scored a perfect finish to complete the comeback. Then, in the 45th minute of the second half, Cunha’s ball was pushed into the goal’s corner to score a crucial goal. This was Suarez’s 11th goal of the season, and he is the only player in La Liga to have scored in double figures this season.

Jordan Ayew, a Black Stars striker, also scored. In the 24th minute of the EPL round 30 encounter against Arsenal, Ayew shook the net with a left-footed kick. It was a goal that increased the lead to 2-0. Ayew’s goal was his first in 12 games since scoring against Southampton on December 15th.

Son Heung-min, Korea’s captain and ace, also had the biggest game. Son Heung-min, who participated in the EPL’s 30th round versus Newcastle, assisted Ben Davis’ header in the 43rd minute of the first half with a precise early cross. He shook the net directly in the ninth minute of the second half. Dejan Kulusevsky’s ball set him up for a left-footed goal. Heung-Min Son, who scored one goal and one assist, totaled 20 attack points in the 2021-2022 EPL season by scoring 14 goals and six assists.
