Aduana Stars forward Bright Adjei rallies support for Kotoko’s Frank Mbella after missing two penalties
Aduana Stars forward Bright Adjei has rallied support for Asante Kotoko’s Frank Mbella after missing two penalties on Sunday.
The Cameroon import who currently lead the goal king race missed two penalties despite registering his name on the scoresheet.
The Porcupine Warriors were held to a 1-1 draw at the Baba Yara Stadium in matchday 28 of the Ghana Premier League.
Mbella shot Kotoko into the lead before Bright Adjei restored parity.
Speaking to Oyerepa FM, Bright Adjei called on Kotoko fans to support Mbella after missing two penalty kicks.
“Mbella has been taking almost all Asante Kotoko penalties this season so if he has missed two against Aduana Stars he shouldn’t be crucified by the fans,” Bright Adjei told Oyerepa FM after Sunday’s game.
“This is the time for the supporters to support and encourage him and I know he will score subsequent ones.”
