Aduana Stars striker Bright Adjei is unhappy with the Black Stars exclusion
Bright Adjei of Aduana Stars admits he was unhappy not to be called up for Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Despite excelling on the domestic level with his club, the striker was snubbed by Coach Otto Addo.
Adjei recorded 12 goals in the domestic league before Ghana’s coach announced his call-ups for the major game against Nigeria.
Many anticipated the striker to secure a spot on the team, but the Black Stars technical staff turned him down.
“Personally I was disappointed (not to earn call-up) because I was doing well in the League, I was very much prepared and for me to miss out of the squad was a bit disappointed,” he said on Wontumi TV
“But all the same there were equally good players who got selected and went out to do a good job,”
“There are AFCON qualifiers coming up and I need to keep working hard so I can get a call-up,” he ended.
