Anas Number 12 exposé: Ex-GFA Communications Director Saani Daara cleared of bribery allegation
A former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Saani Daara has been cleared of allegations of bribery levelled against him through the Anas Number 12 exposé.
The investigative piece released by Anas Aremeyaw Anas in 2018 accused the celebrated Ghanaian broadcaster of taking a bribe to influence player selection into the Black Stars.
In the video, although Ibrahim Saani Daara was not captured receiving any money, he was accused of asking one of his colleagues at the GFA at the time to take the money on his behalf.
In the last six months, the ex-GFA Communications Director has been having his day before the Ethics Committee of the Ghana FA on the matter.
Finally, his name has been cleared of any wrongdoing at the end of the hearing.
“The Ethics Committee concluded that there was insufficient evidence to support the allegation of acts of bribery and corruption on the part of Mr. Ibrahim Sannie Daara”, the GFA Ethics Committee stated in its decision signed by Chairperson, Ms. Phyllis M. Christian, Esq.
