Anderlecht wins their game when attacker Francis Amuzu starts

Anderlecht has never lost when Francis Amuzu scores. He made his debut on December 22, 2017 against Eupen under Hein Vanhaezebrouck’s leadership and scored the game’s only goal.

Amuzu signed his first professional contract on 23 August 2015 with R.S.C. Anderlecht.

On Thursday if he starts against Royal Antwerp he will be making his 150th appearance for R.S.C. Anderlecht a major accomplishment for the 22-year-old attacker.

Amuzu had a lengthy conversation with Vincent Kompany during his first few games as a starter this season. However, he eventually became a substitute and struggled until the winter break.

Many teams came knocking during the January transfer window, but coach Vincent Kompany persuaded him to stay by pledging to work on his composure.

Amuzu listened to his coach after Kompany mentioned that the guys who were significant at the time would not always be the ones who were crucial at the end of the season. Kompany also mentioned Dries Mertens, who was a supersub early in his career.
