Ansgar Knauff likely to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer

Ansgar Knauff will most likely not return to BVB before the summer. Stefan Effenberg sees RB Leipzig catching up to Borussia Dortmund.

Ansgar Knauff’s recent impressive performances for Eintracht Frankfurt fueled speculation that BVB would bring him back to Dortmund sooner rather than later.

According to Sport1, the 20-year-old will complete his loan agreement with SGE. The winger was loaned out by BVB to Frankfurt for 18 months during the winter and will most likely continue to play for SGE until at least the summer of 2023.

This year, a transfer to another team is out of the question. Knauff aspires to progress at Eintracht and build on his early great impressions.
