Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta uncertain of possibility of Thomas Partey playing again this season
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has disclosed that he is uncertain whether Thomas Partey would be able to feature for the club again this season before the campaign comes to an end.
The midfield enforcer was in action for the Gunners last Monday when the team suffered a shocking 3-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.
Unfortunately for Thomas Partey, he aggravated his thigh injury and had to be substituted in the second half.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s clash against Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend, Mikel Arteta shared that the player will spend weeks on the sidelines.
“It is a little bit ambiguous but he has a significant injury and we’ll have to keep assessing him but he will be out for some weeks,” the Arsenal manager shared.
Asked if it is possible Thomas Partey will stay injured for the rest of the season, Mikel Arteta answered, “It could be but it could not be the case – because it is an area where he had a previous injury as well and he felt it straight away and he is not fit.”
Thomas Partey’s injury is a massive blow for Arsenal in the team’s push to finish in the top four of the English Premier League.
