Asamoah Gyan is a mentor to my son – Ex-Ghana President John Mahama
Former Ghana President John Dramani Mahama has disclosed his son, Sharaf Mahama is modeling his game after legendary forward Asamoah Gyan.
Gyan paid a courtesy call ex-President Mahama last Wednesday ahead of the launch of his maiden memoir.
The former Black Stars captain will be launching his book on Saturday, April 30, 2022 and took time off to hand the 2020 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) an invite to the occasion.
Mahama will be joining other dignitaries from around the continent, including CAF President Patrice Motsepe and Senegal legend El Hadji Diouf.
The former President welcoming Gyan and his entourage indicated his son mentors his game after Asamoah Gyan.
“He is still an inspiration to many people. He is mentor to my son. My son is also in football and my son think very highly of him and he’s got picture of he and him, anywhere they meet they take pictures”
“He is moving from Germany to the United Kingdom, he is doing some trials there. So am sure that he will continue to see you as an inspiration and we hope his ambition to become a top footballer will come to pass” he said.
