Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh disappointed to lose to 10-man Berekum Chelsea in Kumasi
Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh has expressed his disappointment after losing 1-0 to 10-man Berekum Chelsea on match week 30 of the Ghana Premier League.
Kelvin Obeng smashed home the match-winner 10 minutes from to give Blues a well-deserved win against the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara stadium.
The defeat means Kotoko need to wait a little longer in the battle for the Ghana Premier League title after Medeama SC cut their lead to six points with five games in hand.
“l feel sad when we keep hurting the emotions and feelings of our supporters.
“We must bounce and bring back the joy. We are capable,” coach Prosper Narteh Ogum said after the game.
After a barren first-half, Berekum Chelsea were reduced to 10-men after Osei Wusu received the marching orders – given Asante Kotoko a numerical advantage in a very close contest.
Kelvin Obeng went round his marker before curling the ball past Danlad Ibrahim into the back of the net with 10 minutes of time remaining.
Asante Kotoko will travel to Tarkwa to take on second-placed Medeama SC on match week 31 of the Premier League.
