Assistant coach told defenders to go hard on me – Victor Osimhen
Victor Osimhen, a Nigerian striker, worked extremely hard on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, when Nigeria held the Black Stars to a goalless draw.
Osimhen failed to score on the night and had a tough game dealing with the center defense duo of Daniel Amartey and Alexander Djiku.
He told Elegbete TV that the Ghanaian center backs were continually pressing on him as ordered by the assistant coach.
”Mostly the assistant coach will come from the bench and say ‘go hard on him. Come on him, Amartey and the other guy (Djiku). They tried to do the assignment very well but they don’t know we have deadly players that can get the job done.
The Napoli striker also stated that the Super Eagles are happy with the result and performance on Friday.
We were really happy with our performance,” he added.
