Breaking News: Thomas Partey suffers fresh injury against Crystal Palace
Bad news for Ghana as Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey was substituted due to an injury during Arsenal’s game against Crystal Palace.
Thomas Partey was substituted in the 76th minute when Arsenal was trailing Crystal Palace by 3 goals to nothing.
The Black Stars midfielder was replaced by Albert Sambi Lokonga in midfield as the Gunners search for a consolation goal.
Thomas Partey’s injury is a big blow to Ghana ahead of upcoming Afcon qualifiers and other international friendlies.
He played the two playoff games against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. As the captain of the side Thomas Partey netted Ghana’s only goal in the second leg of the encounter at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
His compatriot Jordan Ayew featured for Crystal Palace and scored against the Gunners.
Partey’s injury will certainly be a headache for Arteta because Partey has been key to Arsenal’s good form this year.
