Crystal Palace offer contract extension to Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp
English Premier League side, Crystal Palace believed to have offered Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp new contract to keep him at the club for another year, according to Football Insider.
Schlupp, who joined the Eagles from Leicester City in January 2017 is currently due to become a free agent at the end of next season.
The 29-year-old has been one of the consistent performers at the club, making 32 league appearances for Patrick Vieira’s side, scored four goals and provided one assist during the 2021/22 season.
Football Insider talks are underway with versatile left-footer Schlupp over an extension.
Palace have already extended the contracts of his compatriot Jordan Ayew, Nathaniel Clyne, James McArthur and James Tomkins until the summer of 2023.
The Ghana international maintained his status as a key player under new manager Patrick Vieira as Crystal Palace finished 12th in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace signed Schlupp for £13million under Sam Allardyce back at the beginning of 2017.
He was part of the Leicester side that won the Premier League title in the 2015-16 season.
He has now played 162 times across all competitions for Palace, scoring 14 goals and providing 13 assists in the process.
At Leicester, he featured in 150 games across all competitions, finding the net 15 times and contributing 10 assists.
