Defender Michael Akoto named in Kicker’s Eleven of the Day
For the first time this season, defender Michael Akoto was named to the “Eleven of the Day” of the 2nd Bundesliga after the 33rd matchday by the football magazine “Kicker.”
Akoto scored the equalizer for Dynamo Dresden in the away game against Karlsruher SC with a strike.
The ball was passed to Akoto in the fourth minute of added time by Panagiotis Vlachodimos and Patrick Weihrauch, who fired from the edge of the area and bent the ball into the upper left corner of the goal.
In total, the former Mainz 05 defender has played 29 games in the second division for the black and yellow shirt.
Michael Akoto joined the German Bundesliga 2 club from Mainz 05 during the summer transfer window in 2021.
The SV Wehen Wiesbaden academy graduate has assisted one goal this season for Dynamo Dresden.
