Doubters will start believing after our league triumph, says Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum
The head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum has said he believes people who doubted his team at the start of the season will now begin to believe after winning the Ghana Premier League title with his team.
The gaffer was appointed as the new coach for the Porcupine Warriors club last year after guiding WAFA SC to finish second on the league table.
After keeping the team together and improving the team, they have today sealed the league title following a 1-1 draw against Ashanti Gold SC.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum said he is happy his team has proven the doubters wrong
“So many people doubted us but we have been able to prove them wrong and I think from now the narrative will change,” the coach said.
He further noted that the criticism he has received throughout the season has made him better.
He is hence calling on critics to stay true and keep them coming.
“Criticisms come to make us better and stronger, I accept all the constructive criticisms including disruptive ones. I want to tell all those who did that to know it has strengthened and toughened me and I can’t wait to hear more of such to make me a better person,” Coach Ogum added.
