England-born Eddie Nketiah and Tariq Lamptey switch less complicated

England-born duo of Eddie Nketiah and Tariq Lamptey nationality switch is less complicated as compared to Callum Hudson-Odoi, Footballghana.com understands.

The Ghana Football Association are said to be in talks with the English-born players to switch allegiance and play for the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.

But the process to complete the international switch for Nketiah and Lamptey is not complicated as that of Odoi who has already capped for the Three Lions.

However, the Ghana FA have intensified talks to formalise the paperwork of the duo.

Tariq Lamptey recently rejected call up to play for the England U-21 side after telling coach Lee Carsley to exclude him.

Since he is yet to play for the senior team, his switch won’t be much difficult as compared to Odoi who has three caps for the Three Lions.

The Ghana Football Association has been working around the clock to tie down the England-born trio permanently.

They are keen to complete paper works before the start of the World Cup in the Asian country.

The biggest soccer mundial will be staged in Qatar between November and December where 32 countries will battle it out for the covetous trophy.

The Black Stars have drawn Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea in Group H.
