Ex-Arsenal star Kevin Campbell urges club to sign Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz to partner Thomas Partey

Former Arsenal star Kevin Campbell believes Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz would be a great partner for Ghana’s Thomas Partey.

The Gunners are expected to augment their squad in the summer transfer window ahead of the 2022/23 season.

With Douglas Luis being linked with a move to the Emirates in the summer, Kevin Campbell has entreated his former employers to sign the player as he strongly believes he will be a great partner for Partey.

“I think he’d be a great partner for Partey.

“Douglas Luiz is hungry, young and is a good ball player. I think he could come in and do a really good job.

“We need numbers as well. It is not just a matter on signing starters. We need a squad. At the moment our squad is not up to scratch. We are weaker than other teams.” He told Football Insider.

The Ghanaian midfielder is currently injured and is likely to miss the remainder of the season.
