Ex-Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan claim he predicted Black Stars first-ever World Cup qualification to JSS mates

Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan says he predicted the Black Stars first-ever World Cup qualification to his Junior Secondary School (JSS) mates.

Gyan, who is the all-time top scorer for the Black Stars was part of the team that qualified for their first-ever tournament at the mundial in 2006.

Speaking to Peace FM, the former Sunderland star claimed he prophesied to his mates back in JSS that, Ghana will qualify for the World Cup when he wears the national team jersey.

“Sometimes I feel proud of myself, I feel proud of people who gave me their support. honestly, when I say this, people don’t believe me but when I was in JSS 1 I used to say it and my friends took it as a joke. At that time, Ghana had not played at the World Cup so I said that during my time, if I wear the national team jersey, Ghana will qualify for the World Cup”
