Exclusive: Granada boss Aitor Karanka urges club to sign Mubarak Wakaso
Coach Aitor Karanka has urged Santander League club, Granada, to sign Black Stars tough-tackling midfielder Mubarak Wakaso footballghana.com can report.
Aitor Karanka believes he can save Granada CF from relegation. This has caused him to begin planning for next season, with the Ghanaian midfielder at the top of his buy list.
Nasrid supporters are familiar with the player, as they were able to enjoy him throughout the 2016/2017 season. Wakaso has also revealed he is open to returning to Spain.
The Ghanaian footballer has played for clubs such as Elche CF, Villarreal CF, RCD Espanyol, UD Las Palmas, Granada CF, and Deportivo Alaves during his time in Spain. Similarly, he has played for major clubs such as Celtic Glasgow, Rubin Kazan, and Panathinaikos.
Wakaso is currently playing in China’s Premier League. The 31-year-old has never concealed his desire to return to Spain, and the Granada CF project, led by Aitor Karanka, appears to be appealing to the player.
