Former Arsenal star Kevin Campbell identifies Douglas Luis as a ‘great’ midfield partner for Ghana’s Thomas Partey
Former Arsenal star Kevin Campbell has identified Aston Villa midfielder, Douglas as a great midfield partner for Ghana’s Thomas Partey.
The Gunners boss, Mikel Arteta is expected to beef up his squad for the new season and has started talks with players they are likely to sign in the summer.
Arteta is believed to be a huge admirer of the Aston Villa star and will try to add Luis to his squad for the upcoming season.
However, Kevin Campbell has entreated his former employers to sign the player as he strongly believes he will be a great partner for Partey.
“I think he’d be a great partner for Partey.
“Douglas Luiz is hungry, young and is a good ball player. I think he could come in and do a really good job.
“We need numbers as well. It is not just a matter on signing starters. We need a squad. At the moment our squad is not up to scratch. We are weaker than other teams.” He told Football Insider.
The Ghanaian midfielder is currently injured and is likely to miss the remainder of the season.
