German-Ghanaian defender Patric Pfeiffer being chased by German side Mainz 05
Germany-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Patric Pfeiffer is set to seal a move to German Bundesliga side Mainz 05.
The player last season was a top player for SV Darmstadt 98 and played a key role for the team during their campaign in the German Bundesliga.
In that season, Patric Pfeiffer was mostly used as a defensive midfielder and due to his excellent displays, he finished the campaign with over 30 appearances.
With SV Darmstadt 98 failing to secure promotion at the end of the season, it is now looking clearer that the team could lose star man Patric Pfeiffer this summer.
Per information gathered from sources, German Bundesliga side Mainz 05 are interested in the services of the young player and pushing to secure his services in the summer transfer window.
Mainz 05 are ready to pay two million euros for the defender whose SV Darmstadt 98 contract will expire in 2023.
Last season, Patric Pfeiffer netted one goal and provided one assist after making 31 appearances in the German Bundesliga 2.
