GFA is the cause of Dominic Adiyiah’s downfall - Dan Quaye

Former Hearts of Oak defender Dan Quaye has blamed the Ghana Football Association for Dominic Adiyiah’s inability to reach full potentials.

Adiyiah became a household name in the country following his swashbuckling performance with the Black Satellite team.

He played a key role as the U-20 team made history to become the only African team to win the World Cup in 2009.

The former Hearts of Lions striker was promoted to the Black Stars due to his outstanding performance with the youth side.

Adiyiah, who was tipped for greatness was a member of the Black Stars team that reach the quarterfinal of the FIFA World Cup in 2010.

He is currently a free agent after leaving Thailand club in January.

In an interview with Koforidua based Aben FM, Dan Quaye said the Ghana FA and the technical handlers are the cause of the players downfall.

“We don’t treat our players well. Now, the country is struggling to find Asamoah Gyan’s replacement. If we had taken good care of our players, by now Dominic Adiyiah could have step up and bag the goals for the Black Stars”

“If I may ask, where is Adiyiah now? We are the cause of his downfall” he said.

“I will blame the Ghana FA and the technical handlers of the national team for Adiyiah’s struggle because there was no consistency in handing him a call up”
