Ghana coach Otto Addo confirms Augustine Okrah and Afriyie Barnieh have impressed in training
The head coach of the Ghana national team, Otto Addo has disclosed that the two local players drafted into the Black Stars team have made good impressions in training.
In his latest squad assembled for the first phase of the qualifiers for the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, Coach Otto Addo handed call-ups to Ghana Premier League duo Augustine Okrah and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday ahead of the first match against Madagascar on Wednesday, Coach Otto Addo confirmed that he has been impressed by the two players.
“I have been watching some games. The two players called made good impressions. It’s important to see them live in training and in the end, once we are on the pitch, I don’t care about who is local and who is not. The performance will decide,” the Ghana head coach shared.
Ghana’s contest against Madagascar is scheduled to kick off at 19:00GMT at the Cape Coast Stadium tomorrow:
