Ghana defender Alexander Djiku reacts to Strasbourg win over Lens in France
Ghana international Alexander Djiku has reacted to Strasbourg win over Lens in the French Ligue 1.
The enterprising defender has been outstanding for his outfit this campaign featuring 24 times in the Ligue scoring just a goal in the process.
The 27-year-old was impressive on his return from international duty as Strasbourg defeated Lens 1-0 on home turf.
Reacting to the win, he said, “Everything is going well this season, we must continue. We knew it would be very difficult with few spaces, it was going to be played in one against one with personal initiatives”
“We knew it would be a closed match, but we put on the intensity, we took risks to have a lot of chances. We scored this goal and we are happy with the victory. We take the matches without pressure” he said.
Djiku is expected to make Ghana squad for the World Cup tournament in Qatar.
