Ghana defender Andy Yiadom closing in on a new deal at Reading FC
Ghana international Andy Yiadom is edging closer to signing a new deal with Reading FC, Footballghana.com can report.
Yiadom, who joined the Championship club in 2018 from Barnsley on a four-year deal will see his contract elapse at the end of the season.
The Ghanaian defender had a descent campaign despite the club’s struggle in the 2021/22 season.
Yiadom, who won the Player of the season prize at Reading is said to be close to extending his contract with the club for another season.
The 30-year-old made 38 appearances for Reading in the Championship, chipping in with one goal and two assists in the process.
He has featured 132 times since joining the club 45 less than his 177 for Barnsley, which is his highest for a single club in his career to date.
