Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan sets date to begin coaching course as he eye Black Stars strikers coaching role

Ghana’s all-time leading scorer Asamoah Gyan will begin his coaching course in June amid desire to train strikers of the Black Stars.

The 36-year-old is currently without a club after leaving Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities at the end of last season.

As he edges closer to retirement, Gyan has revealed plans of becoming a coach.

“I’d like to handle the Black Stars as a strikers coach, but everything takes time. First, I need to work on my coaching course, and I’m due to begin in June or July, after that we’ll see,” Gyan told Accra based Citi FM.

He is on a media tour ahead of the launch of his maiden biography on April 30, 2021.
