Ghana need to prepare well and build a formidable squad – Agyemang Badu on World Cup draw
Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu says Black Stars need to prepare well and build a formidable squad to stand a chance of progressing from Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana will face Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic in the group stage of the global showpiece.
The Black Stars will take on Portugal in the opening game of the group, play Korea in the second group match before locking horns with two-time champions, Uruguay.
“Ghana is in a difficult Group so we need to prepare well and build a formidable squad.”
“Our game against Uruguay will be one of revenge, Portugal have a solid squad and South Korea have one or two good players so we need to prepare well,” Agyemang spoke to Ashh FM.
The Black Stars lost 2-1 to Portugal in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and lost to Uruguay in controversial circumstances in 2010 in South Africa but will be meeting Korea Republic for the first in the World Cup finals.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place from November 21 to December 18.
