Ghana probable line-up to face South Africa
A lot will be at stake when two African football giants, South Africa and Ghana square-off in a crucial 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Black Stars will be determine to beat the host in order to seal their qualifications with a game to spare.
With the absence of the Ayew brothers and several key players, head coach C K Akonnor is set make changes in his team for the game on Thursday.
A close observation of the team’s final training ahead of the game gives indications of how the coach wants to approach the game and the personnel to use.
The coach is likely to line up with a 4-3-3 system.
With first choice goalkeeper Richard Ofori unable to make the trip from South Africa for the game former Asante Kotoko Razak Abalora is likely to start between the sticks.
Benson Annan is likely to start at the right side of the defense with Baba Abdul Rahman starting on the left side.
Amiens defender Nicholas Opoku is likely to start alongside Asante Kotoko Ismail Abdul Ganiu.
Mubarak Wakasu is likely to start in a defensive midfield role and will be likely to be accompanied by Amiens Emmanuel Lomotey and Ajax Kudus Mohammed.
MC Algers bound Kwame Opoku is set to make his debut upfront, with Caleb Ekuban and Emmanuel Gyasi providing him the needed support from the wings.
PROBABLE LINE-UP: Razak Abalora – Benson Anang, Baba Abdul Rahman, Nicholas Opoku, Ismail Abdul Ganiu – Mubarak Wakasu, Mohammed Kudus, Emmanuel Lomotey , Kwame Opoku – Emmanuel Gyasi (C), Caleb Ekuban.
