Ghanaian striker Myron Boadu describes first season with AS Monaco as ‘ups and downs’
Ghanaian striker Myron Boadu has opened up on his first full season in France with former Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco.
The 21-year-old described the 2021/22 season as ‘ups and downs’ as The Monégasques finished 3rd on the league table.
Boadu joined the French Ligue 1 outfit in 2021 on a five-year deal from Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar where he made 31 appearances, scored 15 goals, and provided one assist.
He failed to hit the ground running despite featuring in 31 league games for Monaco, but only started seven of them, with the majority of them requiring him to come off the bench.
“First season at Monaco ✔️ I had to get used to a new club, new teammates, new city. It went with ups and downs. Looking forward to next season when we will try to qualify for the 🆑,” Boadu posted on his official Twitter page.
