Great Olympics coach Annor Walker vows to arrest players over betting

Great Olympics coach Daniel Annor Walker has frowned against betting and has vowed to arrest any of his players who engage in the act.

The Black Stars B coach has complained about how allegations of betting is killing the spirit of fair play in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Annor Walker noted allegations of betting have made the Ghana Premier League unattractive.

“During our playing days, the league was attractive but now, the narrative has changed because of betting, players stake bet and do other things which is undermining the game”

“I am stating it clear, any player who is caught staking bet will be sacked from the club as simple as that because I cannot leave my family, waste my time and train and play match of inconvenience” he said.

“I cannot let my sweat go waste. When any player bets our game, it is either I call for his arrest or expel him from the club”

Great Olympics currently sit 4th position on the league log with 39 points after 25 matches.
