Hamburg to give Ghanaian Aaron Opoku another chance after impressive loan spell at VfL Osnabruck
German-born Ghanaian forward Aaron Opoku will return to Hamburg at the end of his loan spell at VfL Osnabruck.
The 23-year-old has been impressive for Osnabruck, scoring three goals and providing 15 assists in 30 appearances.
He is only behind Marc Heider in terms of goal contribution at the club (22 goals).
Opoku will certainly return to his parent club at the end of the season after impressing on loan.
His impact keeps Osnabruck in a good position to secure qualification to the Bundesliga.
Footballghana.com understands Hamburg is ready to give the Ghanaian forward another chance to prove himself.
The enterprising forward will join Hamburg at the end of the season for pre-season.
His current contract with Hamburg will elapse in 2024.
Opoku was born to Ghanaian parents in Hamburg and remains eligible to play for the Black Stars of Ghana.
