I almost fainted when Ronaldo gifted me his shirt – Emmanuel Gyasi
Italy-based Ghana forward, Emmanuel Gyasi has revealed that he almost fainted when he received Cristiano Ronaldo’s jersey.
The talented winger met the Portuguese who he describes as his ideal in the Italian Serie A last season.
After exchanging pleasantries in the first fixture, Emmanuel Gyasi made a nice impression on Ronaldo who decided to gift him his jersey in the return fixture.
Opening on the emotional moment in an interview with Corriere dello Sport, the winger says he was star-struck to the point that he almost fainted.
“I still get chills. When I met him in Spezia-Juventus I found the courage to go and say hello and I said: ‘Cristiano, you are an example for me and for everyone’. He replied: ‘Keep working and cultivating your dreams’. At the return match, in Turin, he came to look for me to give me his shirt. At that moment I almost fainted,” Emmanuel Gyasi said.
Meanwhile, the Spezia winger has disclosed that he also looked up to Brazil legend Ronaldinho whiles growing up.
