I need two-three months to get back into shape – Asamoah Gyan
Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has expressed desire to return to back to the pitch but says he will need two-three months to be able to get back into shape.
The 36-year-old has been inactive since leaving Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities at the end of last season.
He featured six times in all competitions for the Royals in the 2020/21 football season.
Gyan has not also played for the Black Stars since the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt 2019
But in an interview with Joy FM, the former Sunderland star has revealed he is still open to playing competitive football.
“I am not retired yet, so I feel honoured when called for these charity games,”
“I want to get back to playing, but I need about two to three months to get back into shape. I want the right timing to start training because there are a lot of activities on my table now.
“I would have started training this month but my tuxedo has been fitted already and can’t lose the weight now,” he added.
