I support Asante Kotoko to build their own stadium – Former KMA Mayor Kojo Bonsu
Former Mayor of Kumasi, Hon Kojo Bonsu has declared his intentions to help Asante Kotoko build their own stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors have been staging their home games at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the past few seasons.
The CEO of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah has revealed plans to build Kotoko’s own stadium and Bonsu has pledged to assist them when the time comes.
“This season we (Kotoko) have played very well so we are urging them to win the league, and I’m confident we will win it,” he told Akoma 87.9 FM.
He added, “Definitely they have to build their own stadium but it will take time, so they should sit down with the National Sports Authority and negotiate figures but they can build their own.
“I am in full support of that move. I believe Kotoko should have their own stadium.”
“When they start building, I will give them my personal know how.”
