I’m not in a haste to go back to my position as GFA spokesperson – Sannie Daara
Cleared communications director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara has stressed that he is not in a haste to retake his position.
The renowned Ghanaian media guru was forced to leave his role at the GFA in 2018 when he was wrongfully accused of bribery and corruption as portrayed in the Number 12 documentary video released by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
After looking into the allegations, the Ghana FA Ethics Committee on Friday, May 27, 2022, dismissed all the allegations against Sannie Daara.
“The Ethics Committee concluded that there was insufficient evidence to support the allegation of acts of bribery and corruption on the part of Mr. Ibrahim Sannie Daara”, the GFA Ethics Committee stated in its decision signed by Chairperson, Ms. Phyllis M. Christian, Esq.
Speaking to Hot FM after the verdict, Sannie Daara says despite being cleared, he is not in a hurry to go for his communications director job at the Ghana FA.
“I won’t be in a haste to go back to the position as GFA spokesperson. Henry is doing so well and doesn’t need to be distracted,” Sannie Daara said while adding, “I will have to meet the GFA authorities to see the way forward.”
