KP Boateng leads Hertha Berlin teammates to reconcile with fans
Ghana veteran, Kevin-Prince Boateng has played a key role for the squad of Hertha Belin to reconcile with fans of the club.
The German Bundesliga side had a bit of a standoff with fans in the East stand after an incident with the ultras in April.
However, prior to the clash against Mainz over the past weekend, it was all love when KP Boateng and his teammates matched to the East stand to smoke the peace pipe.
Speaking after the game, Hertha Berlin manager Felix Magath confirmed that KP Boateng was instrumental in the reconciliation.
“The team discussed this internally, Prince played an important role in it. He and Davie Selke led the team into the curve,” the manager said.
On his part, KP Boateng also said, “Yes, that was the reconciliation. We wanted to make it clear to the fans that we are all one big family. No matter what happens. You argue in a family, you get mad at the other. After that, you make up and love again.”
Up next for Hertha Berlin, the team will take on Dortmund.
