Let’s support Milovan Rajevac to succeed – John Paintsil to Ghanaians

Former Black Stars defender, John Paintsil has rallied Ghanaians to support new Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac.

The Serbian tactician has been appointed as the new head coach of the national team of the West African country following the sacking of Ghanaian tactician CK Akonnor.

According to John Paintsil, although there is a problem to task the new coach to win the 2021 AFCON, it is a must for the coach to ensure Ghana qualifies for the 2022 FIFA World CUP.

“For me, it’s not right to ask somebody to win the Afcon but Milovan accepted because he believes in Ghanaian players.

“So it’s up to the players to come dine with the coach and listen to him for them to put their heads together and perform. Winning Afcon is not going to be easy but qualifying for the World Cup is a must,” John Paintsil told BBC Sports Africa in an interview.

In an appeal, John Paintsil says it is critical for Ghanaians to offer support to the new national team head coach.

“Milovan has a task but we Ghanaians must also support him and any call-up that he makes, we must support,” the former Fulham defender added.
