Qatar ready for a safe and exceptional 2022 World Cup - Security Operations head

The Head of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Safety & Security Operations Committee, Brig. Ibrahim Khalil Al-Mohannadi, confirmed full readiness for the launch of a safe and exceptional FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this.

The Arab country will host the rest of the World in November to December later this year.

Brigadier General Al-Mohannadi speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) said that the name of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Security Last-Mile Conference, which kicked off on Sunday, indicates that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is a step away from starting, stressing that the conference is nothing but efforts and the fruit of the work of the past years.

He added that the International Police Cooperation Center (IPCC) was established, and all the countries that qualified for the World Cup were invited to cooperate and sign a memorandum of understanding regarding participation in the IPCC, while the remaining three countries are in the annex.

To conclude his statement, he noted that security, with previous experiences and international and local participation, has reached a high level, stressing full readiness to launch a safe and exceptional tournament.
